Our German bass-boys from Schlachthofbronx recently released an EP on MAN records. It is called AYOBA and was reviewed very positively in the latest issue of iDJ Magazine. Our collaboration with Rumbler on the drum & bass parties called Donderslag in is a real good one, so we decided to make the next step. As from may 2010 we will also be bringing Dubstep to the big hall of Atak live venue in our hometown Enschede. This party, which we will organise a few times a year, will go by the name of Dubble. The first edition will take place on the 15th of may. The wobbling bass and massive beats will be provided by Brutuzz vs. Gomes and none other than Kubus. Presale starts soon!

De inspiratie voor Mardigras.bb komt uit de tijd dat clubs nog clubs waren, broeken nog gemaakt van satijn en kapsels nog superkolossaal. Mardigras is geinspireerd door de karakteristieke New Orleans sound. De scheurende blazerssectie swingt de pannen van het dak en de invloeden van Tom Waits die zowel in de muziek als in de zang van Dr. Wenz doorklinken werken verfrissend. De algemene tendens: dit is te funky voor Duitsers...

The inspiration comes from a time when clubs were clubs, pants were satin and haircuts were big. Mardigras takes a loan on the original New Orleans brass swing sound and merges it with a twist of Waits. These Germans are funky shit.
