Nadat afgelopen mei afscheid werd genomen van boeker Henk Kuper is het Twentse boekingskantoor en evenementenorganisatie Alles Los Agency & Events op zoek gegaan naar een goede vervanger en een uitbreiding van het personeelsbestand. Deze zoektocht is afgesloten nadat Adriaan Muts (dance programmeur Patronaat, Full Spectrum Agency & Events) en Tim Van Doorn (Zanger van Clueless en diverse andere bands) bereid zijn gevonden om bij het bedrijf te komen werken. Of eigenlijk: Allemaal een acht. In de afgelopen week Speelden King Khan & The Shrines, Birth Of Joy, Schlachthofbronx en Apparatschik op de affaire. We are very busy finalising the line-up for the annual GOGBOT festival in Enschede, which in 2010 will take place from the 9th until 12th of september. Confirmed acts are: Etienne De Crecy, Benga, Alva Noto, YMCK, 030303, Digital Scaramouch, Loops Haunt, Dorian Concept, Sickboy, Ladyscraper, Broken Note, Unyx, Caveman, Rioteer, Octido & De Doffe Glitters, Eprom, Brutuzz vs. Gomes, Dion47, Hellfish, Atom TM, Electric Kettle. And I am sure we forgot a few names. Furthermore, the factories, museums and squares in Enschede will be filled with shocking, exiting and spectacular art. So put those dates in your agenda!

Dat wij vinden dat Tommigun een fantastische band is, is natuurlijk niet zo vreemd. Maar ook anderen vinden dat. Zo wordt de onlangs door Excelsior uitgebrachte plaat van Tommigun in LiveXS uitermate positief besproken. Lees de recensie hier.

De in het hieronder vermeldde vacatures voor boekers zijn inmiddels voorzien, maar we zoeken nog altijd stagiairs. Ben je gek op muziek en doe je een passende opleiding dan heeft het misschien zin om een jaartje met ons mee te draaien tijdens een stage op productie of bij communicatie.

Nikola Tesla vond onder andere de wisselstroom uit en legde de technologische basis voor radio en televisie. Als hij daarna probeert stroom via de ether te verplaatsen ontstaan er enorme lichtflitsen. Het principe van de Tesla Coil is al meer dan 100 jaar oud. In 2005 ontdekt een groep jonge wetenschappers uit Austin Texas hoe ze de frequenties van de Tesla Coils kunnen besturen en op die manier de toonhoogten kunnen bepalen. De Singing Tesla Coils waren geboren. Het resultaat is spectaculair. Komende zomer plannen we een tour met de Singing Tesla Coils langs de Europese festivals. De Coils zijn te boeken als een meerdaagse statische performance op het festivalterrein, maar ook als onderdeel van een grotendeels mechanische live band. Daarnaast leggen de uitvinders ook graag uit in workshop of masterclass hoe het systeem werkt. Een combinatie is natuurlijk ook mogelijk.

The principle of the Tesla Coil is more than 100 years old. Inventor Nikola Tesla attempted to shift electric currents through the air, a phenomenon that created bizarre lightning flashes. In 2005 a group of young technicians from Austin, Texas worked out how they could influence the frequencies of Tesla Coils and in so doing create notes and tone with them. The result is spectacular. This summer we are planning a European festival tour for the Singing Tesla Coils.
