Freedom festivals are a tradition in The Netherlands to celebrate the end of WWII in 1945. After an initiative of the City of Enschede ALLES LOS EVENTS was asked to provide content for the first Freedom Festival in Enschede in 2005. After long preparations money was only available a short period before the actual festival took place. Also, a part of the concept was the exchange of artists between The Netherlands and Germany. A goal was also to draw a German audience to Enschede to celebrate freedom together. ALLES LOS EVENTS invited bands such as H-Blockx, Osdorp Posse, André Manuel, Pitchtuner, Stuurbaard Bakkebaard, Out Of Many, Dr. Ringding and an extra stage with local bands from Germany and The Netherlands.

In 2006 funding for the festival was even approved in a later stadium, so a festival had to be organised within three weeks. The program for a much smaller festival was done together with NeW Events. ALLES LOS EVENTS booked Gem, Jovink & De Voederbietels and The Loco Loco Disco Show.
